Frank Weathers im Aerotech-Bürokomplex im Südteil von New Vegas sorgt sich um seine Familie, die in Cottonwood Cove im südöstlichsten Zipfel der Karte von der Legion festgehalten wird. Wenn wir noch keinen negativen Ruf bei der Legion haben, statten wir der Siedlung einfach einen Besuch ab und reden mit dem Aufseher Schluchtenläufer. Für 300 Kronkorken verkauft er uns die Weathers; mit einem Sprache-Wert von 50 Punkten erhalten wir sie zum halben Preis.
Als RNK-Sympathisant fliegen uns die Kugeln um die Ohren, sobald wir uns Cottonwood Cove nähern. Nachdem wir alle Legionäre ausgeschaltet haben (kein einfaches Unterfangen, da die Kerle gut bewaffnet sind), finden wir bei Schluchtenläufers Leiche den Schlüssel für den Gefangenenverschlag an der Nordseite. Im Inneren schließen wir die explosiven Halsbänder der Familie Weathers auf oder entschärfen die Sprengsätze bei einem entsprechend gut ausgebauten Fähigkeitswert (Sprengstoffe: 50). Alternativ können wir die Weathers auch anlügen (Sprache-Wert von 35 erforderlich) und dabei zusehen, wie die Halsbänder explodieren, sobald die Familie ohne den Schlüssel flieht. Dafür erhalten wir logischerweise schlechtes Karma.
